How does the AI coaching work?

AbbyAI sends your goals, recent meals, exercise, and HealthKit context to a Claude Sonnet model running on a hardened AWS backend. Responses stream back in real time, so you see the coach thinking instead of waiting on a spinner.

Do I need any special equipment?

Just an iPhone running iOS 17 or later. AbbyAI integrates with Apple Health to pull in steps, sleep, and weight from Apple Watch or other connected devices, but it works perfectly on its own.

Is my health data secure?

Health data is stored locally on your device. Sign in is handled by Apple — we never see or store your password. AI conversations are sent to our backend over TLS, processed by the model, and not stored or used for training. See our Privacy Policy for details.

Can I cancel my subscription anytime?

Yes. Cancel anytime through your Apple ID settings. You'll keep Pro access through the end of your billing period. No hidden fees, no cancellation penalties.

What dietary preferences are supported?

Balanced, Vegetarian, Vegan, Keto, Paleo, Mediterranean, Gluten-Free, Dairy-Free, Low Carb, and High Protein. The AI adapts every suggestion to whatever you select during onboarding (or change later in Settings).

How accurate is the food photo analysis?

Vision AI identifies most common foods and estimates portions and nutrition with reasonable accuracy. For precision, you can also search the food database (powered by OpenFoodFacts) or do a manual quick-add.
